Jennifer Garoian is a junior in Boston University’s School of Management. She is pursuing a BS/BA in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Business Law, and is excited to spend her spring 2010 studying in Washington DC. Following her undergraduate studies, Jennifer is planning on attending law school. Upon graduation, she aspires to be a corporate lawyer, and would also like to advocate for disability rights.
While not in the classroom, Jennifer is involved in various organizations across campus. She is a member of the Zeta Zeta chapter of Delta Gamma, and has served as a recruitment chairman. She acts as a class representative for the School of Management Student Government organization, and is also a member of the Sport Marketing Group and Fashion & Retail Association.
Jennifer graduated with the class of 2007 from Hillsborough High School in Hillsborough, New Jersey, top of her class and with honors. She was her class treasurer for three consecutive years, and highly involved with Student Government. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and a new student advisor. Always an athlete, Jennifer was on the varsity filed hockey team and played intramural softball.
During her summers, Jennifer has interned in various departments at BlackRock Inc. Such experience in the fast paced corporate financial world has provided her with invaluable experience. Jennifer’s other work experience includes managing and training at a local women’s gym, and working at a coffee/ice cream shop. She is currently substitute teaches in New Jersey while on breaks from school.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys exploring areas she is not familiar with, driving aimlessly listening to loud music, exercising and eating. She has strange obsessions with bunnies, the color pink, and string cheese. Because of her love for the tri-state area, she refuses to give up being a Yankee fan, despite having lived a block away from Fenway Park.
