Julio is in his Junior year at Boston University’s School of Management.

Julio’s first contact in business came when he co-founded Make A Wish Foundation at the Hong Kong International School in his Sophomore year in High School and transformed it into one of the largest clubs on campus. As President for 3 of the following years, he lead sales in Teddy Bear Grams and Christmas wish events, each grossing a minimum of $500 USD. In his Senior year, he decided to go above and beyond by designing and creating a custom made watch for Make A Wish Foundation that generated a profit of $2000 USD in a span of merely 2 months.

During his time in high school, Julio was a member of the Junior Varsity Badminton team for 2 years and Varsity for another two. He was part of the winning team that took home the national title in his Junior year. In his Sophomore year he took 3rd place in the prestigious China Cup event for singles and has posted a perfect record in the team competition since then.

Julio was also a member of the Hong Kong Skating Union and was the Under 18’s Boys Short Track Speedskating Champion for Hong Kong in 2003. He represented Hong Kong in 2005 at the British Open and finished 10th amongst skaters from different parts of the world.

Julio’s passion is tennis and he represented his high school for 3 years on Varsity. He served as an elder for his teammates and has been one of the motivating members since he first got on the team. His passion transformed into results at China Cup when he led his team of 4 to first place at the tournament. In his Junior year, he traveled to Manila, for the Asia Pacific Preliminaries Team Event to play doubles and finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record. At the Asia Pacific tournament in his senior year, he swept the tournament without dropping a set to finish as Champion of the boy’s singles event.

In his Freshman and Sophomore year in Boston University, Julio served as a model in the Chinese Students Association (CSA) fashion show and in Spring of his Sophomore year, he applied and became the Public Relations Chair of CSA. During that semester, Julio managed to obtain a rare sponsorship from Gucci that created a huge anticipation for the semester event C-Pop: A Cultural Exchange. Now in his Junior year, Julio is now President of CSA and has made it his duty to lead a 500+ member club that is rich with tradition.
